Prambanan is a UNESCO World Heritage site located in Central Java, Indonesia. It can be easily accessed from Yogyakarta, which is a wonderful city to visit in itself.
Prambanan is a massive complex of beautiful Hindu temples dating back to the 9th Century dedicated to the Trimurti – Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. In 2006, a terrible earthquake affected the complex and many temples are still undergoing restoration.
Here is an alternative look at the complex, after sundown. None of the photos have been edited after being transferred onto the computer. That explains the grain and loss of sharpness. So sorry about that!

Did you get to see the Ramayana ballet? I have just been there but due to the eruption of Mt. Kelud, I and the other tourists were not able to get close to the temples.
